In the Old and New Testaments, God spoke to his people through his prophets. Prophetic words, both then and now, when given accurately and used correctly, multiply the spiritual effectiveness of any ministry or government. As believers and leaders of believers, we have a desire for guidance to survive the rampant confusion and fear of these times.
At this time in the country of Israel, King Ahab and Jezebel’s son, Jehoram, took the throne. His brother, Amaziah, who followed Ahab as king, had died, falling through a lattice in the upper room of his palace.. Meanwhile, to the south, Jehoshaphat had been King of Judah for 18 years. (Remember, after the reign of Solomon, the country split into two nations… Israel in the North with Samaria as the capital, and Judah in the South, centered in Jerusalem.)
As you listen to Elisha’s account of what occurred next to God’s people, take a look at the behaviors of the two kings. Which one was humble, and which one was not? Which one wanted to hear the voice of God, and which one didn’t? Which leader would you want to go into battle with? Why? Which leader would you want directing your church?
What does Elisha think about these kings? Let’s check in with Elisha.

Discussion Questions:
What was your jewel from this lesson?
Compare/Contrast the 2 kings. Which one was humble, and which one was not? Which one wanted to hear the voice of God, and which one didn’t? Which leader would you want to go into battle with? Why? Which leader would you want directing your church?
Why did God give the Israelites the victory?
What did Elisha do when he could not hear from God, and needed to? Have you ever heard from God while worshipping?
Jehoshaphat came to his senses, and sought help from Yahweh. How did He know Elisha was a reliable prophet?
What was King Jehoram’s weakness? King Jehoshaphat/s weakness? Do you have a weakness when you are in a battle?
Have you ever compromised your faith, like Jehoshaphat because of family pressure? Tell what happened.
What do you do in a crisis? Do you become fearful and give up like Jehoram, blaming the situation on God? Do you seek to hear the voice of God in the matter, and wait for him to reveal a strategy for victory? Do you worship and wait to hear the word of the Lord like Elisha? Fast and Pray?
Oh, God the battle belongs to you! Song

I found your post on Elisha and the Battle with Moab fascinating; seeing how careful planning and risk assessment shaped outcomes is inspiring. It reminded me that structured guidance is crucial in learning too. Using Online Marketing Class Help helped me tackle complex concepts while staying organized and confident.
Really appreciated the post unpacking Elisha’s role in the God-ordained victory and how the contrasting leadership of Jehoram and Jehoshaphat illustrates thorough preparedness versus moral compromise. While I was preparing for an online exam about prophetic leadership and decision-making in ancient texts, I wondered, can I pay someone do my online class, to help manage parts of the workload.
I enjoyed how the post about Elisha’s encounter with the kings really highlights the difference between seeking wise counsel and rushing into things. It got me thinking about moments when we feel unprepared and wish we could just hire someone to take my online accounting class so we can clear space to listen and act with clarity instead of scrambling. Thanks for such a thoughtful reminder in the lesson.
